This week, Sulphur Springs Police contacted Micah Isiah Hopson, 22, of Sulphur Springs. A background check revealed that he had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Hopson worked in a farm and home supply store in Sulphur Springs. Hopson was caught on camera earlier this year rifling through another employee’s stuff and photographing their credit cards. Hopson allegedly confessed to using the cards many times when confronted by police.

A Hopkins County Grand Jury found sufficient evidence to proceed, and indicted Hopson in June of 2023.

Hopson is facing 2 counts of:

32.31 CREDIT CARD OR DEBIT CARD ABUSE

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is located at 298 Rosemont Sulphur Springs, TX 75482. You can reach them for non-emergency matters at (903) 438-4040.
