Man United’s Marcus Rashford to be Fined £650,000 over Nightclub Visit

Marcus Rashford, a Manchester United player, will face a £650,000 fine for partying in a nightclub on Thursday.

Rashford missed United’s 4-2 victory over Newport County due to illness, despite having been seen in a Belfast nightclub on Thursday.

United boss Erik ten Hag stated that he will address the problem, but refused to clarify whether Rashford lied about the nightclub visit.

The Sun reports that Manchester United has fined Rashford heavily for his partying in Northern Ireland.

When asked about Rashford’s absence after United’s 4-2 triumph at Rodney Parade, Ten Hag replied in his post-match news conference: ‘In what sense? He reported being ill; the rest is an internal concern that I deal with. As I already stated, this is an internal concern.

For you, it raises more questions than answers, but not for me. It is an internal concern, and I will deal with it.

When asked if Rashford’s actions were typical of the ‘no-good culture’ Ten Hag inherited, the Dutchman responded: ‘I don’t go in this situation; I’ve talked about it before.

‘I believe we played a good game, and now we move on. We’ll deal with it; I’ll deal with it.

When asked if it would be inappropriate for Rashford to lie to him, Ten Hag responded, ‘Maybe more questions about the game.’

Rashford’s discipline has been questioned before under Ten Hag, as he was dropped last season for being late to a squad meeting.
