Mason Greenwood, a Manchester United player, is reportedly intending to marry his pregnant fiancée after se.x assault accusations against him were dropped.
The striker, who was recently photographed outside London’s five-star Langham Hotel, is expecting his first child this summer.
The 21-year-old was photographed outside the hotel with the university student, who were both dressed in white tracksuits and carrying Louis Vuitton baggage.
According to The Sun, the 21-year-old has already discussed marriage preparations with his family members.
This comes after the 75,000-a-week footballer was detained after a lady filed an allegation against him, thereby ending his career.
Greenwood was charged with rape, assault, and controlling and coercive behavior.
Following the ‘removal of key witnesses,’ the CPS decided to end the prosecution in accordance with the Crown Prosecutor’s Code.
Manchester United will conduct an internal investigation into the events leading up to his detention.
The club also issued a statement in which it stated that it ‘notes the Crown Prosecution Service’s decision to withdraw all charges against Mason Greenwood.
The club will now conduct its own investigation before deciding on next moves.’
The star is claimed to have spoken with United boss Erik ten Hag, but his future at the club and international level remains uncertain, with The Sun reporting that Greenwood will never be selected for England again by Southgate.
Greenwood published a statement after the charges were dropped, adding that he was ‘relieved that this matter is now finished’.
