Kevin Hart began his comedic career after appearing at an amateur night at a Philadelphia-area bar, and he has since established himself as one of Hollywood’s greatest performers and comedians.
His films have grossed more than $1.3 billion at the global box office, according to Celebrity Net Worth. He is also one of the world’s highest-paid entertainers. The comedian has a net worth of $200 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
His success in humor and cinema landed him a job as an event host. He presented the MTV Awards and other high-profile events in 2012. Kevin is an entrepreneur who has established an underwear brand with Tommy John as well as a comedy streaming service called Laugh Out Loud, which includes a radio show.
He has endorsement and partnership arrangements with companies such as Samsung, Wrangler, AT&T, and Mountain Dew. In 2019, he established HartBeat Productions, which manages Hart’s film, television, comedy, and radio productions.
Today, Hart is adding philanthropist to his impressive resume. Gran Coramino Tequila, a tequila company he co-founded with Juan Domingo, has created a fund to support minority-owned businesses.
The Coramino Fund, formed with the help of the national charity Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), aims to help underprivileged black and Latinx enterprises.
So far, the Fund has distributed $500,000 to 50 recipients. Each business received $10,000. According to Vegan News, half of the businesses are Black-owned, 36% are Latinx-owned, and 14% are Black and Latinx-owned. Furthermore, 68 percent are owned by women.
“[Beckmann] and I always knew we wanted Gran Coramino to have a give-back component that focused on providing Black and Latinx entrepreneurs with resources to pursue their small business dreams. Teaming up with LISC last year to launch The Coramino Fund in the US was the start of that journey,” Hart told Vegan News.
According to Vegan News, the awardees applied from all 50 states and were chosen from a wide range of industries, including educational services, retail, transportation, and more.
