Kevin Hart’s Tequila Brand Donates $1 Million to Aid Small Businesses

Gran Coramino Tequila, the ultra-premium tequila brand founded by renowned African-American comedian and entrepreneur Kevin Hart, has awarded over $1 million in grants to over 100 Black and Latinx small business entrepreneurs.

The Coramino Fund provided cash in collaboration with Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), a US-based impact organization. This milestone follows Gran Coramino’s outstanding sales success, which saw millions of bottles sold within two years of its inception under Hart and tequila manufacturer Juan Domingo Beckmann’s supervision.

Gran Coramino, founded in 2022 with the purpose of celebrating life’s accomplishments, provides $1 for each bottle sold to promote underrepresented entrepreneurs in the United States and Mexico. Since its creation, the Coramino Fund has provided $10,000 scholarships to over 100 entrepreneurs from a variety of industries, promoting small business growth.

“As an entrepreneur myself, I’ve seen how early financial support can impact the long-term success of a business,” stated Kevin Hart, co-founder of Gran Coramino Tequila, in response to the contribution and sales milestone. “The Coramino Fund was created to provide support to some of the hardest working people out there — entrepreneurs and small business owners.”

Gran Coramino Tequila, created in conjunction with Global Brand Equities and Proximo Spirits, combines Hart’s passion for tequila with Beckmann’s ancestral knowledge in spirits crafting. The brand provides $1 every bottle to help underrepresented entrepreneurs in the United States and Mexico.

The Coramino Fund, now in its second year, shows Hart and Beckmann’s shared dedication to social impact. According to official declarations, the fund received over 35,000 applications from a variety of sectors, including retail, transportation, food services, and education.

The most recent investment round awarded grants to 50 enterprises, including 52 percent Black-owned, 36 percent Latinx-owned, 12 percent Black and Latinx co-owned, and 66 percent women-owned.

Kevin Hart, famed for his humorous roles, has built a thriving business empire across various sectors. Hart is the founder of Hartbeat Productions, a multinational multi-platform media company.

Hart also owns Hart House, a fast-food restaurant franchise that serves entirely plant-based burgers, sandwiches, and fries. Hartbeat Ventures, among other ventures, completes his investment portfolio.
