Katy Perry didn’t only make a fortune by selling her song collection. She also entered a pretty elite group, according to Forbes.
As previously reported, Katy has sold her interests in the master recording royalties and publishing rights to Litmus Music for a rumored $225 million. According to Forbes, Katy’s net worth has risen to $340 million, making her one of the richest self-made women in America.
Katy did not make Forbes’ list of the Richest Self-Made Women in America for 2023; the newspaper estimated her net worth at the time to be less than $200 million. The entry fee for the list, which featured Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Madonna, Beyoncé, and Dolly Parton, was $225 million. According to Forbes, Katy may make the list again next year.
According to Forbes, Katy’s revenue sources include her American Idol salary, which is projected to be $25 million, as well as her $168 million Las Vegas residency. In addition, she has album sales, non-Vegas shows, her shoe brand, and her nonalcoholic beverage company, De Soi.
Katy revealed on ABC’s Good Morning America recently that she’s been creating songs, but what she’s really focusing on these days is “celebrating the world that I’ve got to build with all of these wonderful songs and being responsible for a life — for a 3-year-old.” Daisy Dove, Katy’s daughter with Orlando Bloom, turned three in August.
“I will be back,” she added, “but let me get this right.“
