Jansen Panettiere, Hayden Panettiere’s brother, has died at the age of 28, according to PEOPLE.
Jansen died over the weekend in New York City. The cause of Jansen’s death was not immediately revealed, but a source told TMZ that no foul play was suspected.
Jansen was five years Hayden’s junior and followed in her footsteps in Hollywood. During the early 2000s, he appeared in films and television shows such as Even Stevens, The X’s, Tiger Cruise, Racing Stripes, The Martial Arts Child, The Walking Dead, Perfect Game, and How High 2. He made an appearance in the Christmas film Love and Love Not in 2022.
Jansen was best known for his stint in Hollywood, but he was also an artist. The actor’s Instagram is filled with vibrant photos and abstract artwork. His most recent upload appears to be a photograph of Catherine Michie, his girlfriend. He used a blue heart emoji to caption a shot of Michie standing next to the artwork.
Jansen, 33, uploaded a humorous snapshot of himself and Hayden, 33, cutting his hair in mid-January, commenting it, “Not the first haircut she’s tried to give me.”
Lesley Vogel and Skip Panettiere, Jansen’s and Hayden’s parents, survive him.
