In a fit of rage, a man going through a contentious divorce was filmed crashing a dump truck into his estranged wife’s South Los Angeles home, as well as damaging cars parked on the road.

Following the incident on Sunday, Patricia Dunn told ABC7 that the man who went on the rampage was her husband. She stated that they are going through a divorce and that she is afraid for her life.

Dunn also said that the section of the home her husband repeatedly drove into and damaged was her bedroom. “A man under that kind of rage – who’s to say what he might do?” Dunn said. “He was trying to kill me. He really was.”

Dunn stated that her estranged husband visited her three times. He arrived in a Chevy Impala and crashed into the house while she was inside. He then returned in a dump truck to cause more vandalism before fleeing in the Impala. He ended up damaging the section outside Dunn’s bedroom as well as the metal fence around the house. He also collided with parked cars on the street.

“I was just trying to stay out of the way,” Dunn recalled. “So I don’t know if he was drunk or under the influence. I never experienced anything like this in my life.”

Dunn’s neighbor, Journey Meggerson, filmed the incident. Her family also tried to console Dunn. “That was honestly the craziest thing I have ever seen,” Meggerson told ABC7. “I can’t even believe.”

It took around 30 minutes for authorities to respond to the scene because the first call was reported as a traffic collision, not a crime, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. Dunn also said she intends to seek a restraining order against her husband.

“Because we are going through a divorce. And he is upset about the fact no contact. He’s verbally abusive and I have nothing nice to say,” she said. Dunn said she is staying with another person as she fears for her life.
