Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is being probed by police after he was seen using his cellphone while driving.
The Norwegian striker, 22, looked to be using the device while driving a £300,000 Rolls Royce. The event occurred in New Islington, a Manchester neighborhood near the Etihad Stadium. Later that day, he was seen driving the identical automobile.
He was reportedly seen using his phone while driving on Wednesday, March 15, the day after scoring five goals in City’s 7-0 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League. The video of the incident was finally released on Monday night.
The Greater Manchester Police has now confirmed he’s being investigated. A spokesperson said, “I can confirm that GMP is aware of the image and is investigating.”
