Elon Musk, the CEO of the microblogging platform X, has spoken up about his troubles with his son Xavier Alexander’s gender transition.
In April 2022, Xavier requested in court to change his name to Vivian Jenna Wilson.
Xavier, who was 18 at the time — the California consent age — also sought the court to change his gender recognition from male to female.
“I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form,” he was quoted as saying.
Wilson was legally granted her name and gender change at the Santa Monica courthouse in California on June 22, 2022.
However, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, in a recent interview with Jordan Peterson, shared his thoughts on doctors performing sex change procedures on children.
The 53-year-old said he was “tricked” into granting Xavier permission to use puberty blockers.
Puberty blockers, also known as hormone blockers, are drugs that help to delay the physical changes that come with puberty.
The drugs function by blocking the release of sex hormones (testosterone and estrogen), which prevents the development of puberty-related characteristics.
Musk claimed he was informed Xavier would commit suicide if he did not receive the treatment.
He called the medicine “incredibly evil” and argued that anyone who promote it “should be imprisoned”.
He also stated that he has “lost my son” and has vowed to eliminate what he regards to as the “woke mind virus”.
“It is evil. You are taking kids who are far below the age of consent. It is very possible for adults to manipulate children who are having an actual identity crisis into believing that they are the wrong gender,” he said.
“Well, it happened to one of my older boys. I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys, Xavier. This was really before I had any understanding of what was going on, and we had COVID going on, so there was a lot of confusion.
“And I was told Xavier might commit suicide. It is incredibly evil and I agree with you that the people that are promoting this should go to prison. I was tricked into doing this. It wasn’t explained to me that puberty blockers are actually just sterilization drugs.
“I lost my son, essentially. They call it ‘deadnaming’ for a reason. The reason they call it ‘deadnaming’ is because your son is dead, so my son, Xavier, is dead, killed by the woke mind virus. So I vowed to destroy the woke mind virus after that. And we’re making some progress.”
Musk has seven children with Justine Wilson, his first wife, to whom he was married from 2000 to 2008.
