Since the beginning of the year, Donald Trump has received more than $34 million for his bid for the White House in 2024. After being indicted on March 30, donations increased significantly.

According to his team, the former president raised $15.4 million of that total in the two weeks following the filing of accusations against him, which they claimed demonstrated how strongly his fans have backed Trump.

After Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg charged Trump with more than 30 counts relating to a hush money payment to former porn star Stormy Daniels, Trump’s poll scores also significantly increased. Trump pled not guilty.

Trump asserts that he is the victim of a weaponized federal government and that Democrats who oppose his reelection to the White House are to blame for the allegations.

On the morning of his indictment in New York, the former president sent a dramatic email with the subject line “the last email before I go to jail” in an effort to rally his followers in the wake of the news of the indictment.

His campaign originally declared on March 31 that it had raised $4 million in the previous day following the initial announcement of his indictment. Then, in the two weeks following the filing of charges, he received 312,564 gifts, with the average donation amounting to almost $49.

Trump’s campaign and his political action organization, Save America PAC, have already started gathering money for his 2024 presidential attempt.

In contrast, Nikki Haley, one of the few other confirmed GOP presidential contenders, reported raising more than $11 million between the start of her campaign on February 15 and the end of the first quarter. Haley is sitting on $7.8 million. Her actual Federal Election Commission records, however, revealed a different tale.

They reveal that her campaign may have double-counted the funds it distributed to numerous committees, greatly inflating its total.

The filings, which cover the first three months of 2023, show that her three committees together brought in about $8.3 million.
