Chloe Cherry has been charged with misdemeanor retail theft in connection with an alleged incident in December.
The Euphoria actress and OnlyFans model, 25, was charged last Monday, Jan. 23, according to court documents.
TMZ reported that she was accused of stealing a blouse from a local store in her hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, but the star’s rep denied the allegations.
While an attorney for Cherry did not have a comment her rep told TMZ: “In December, there was confusion over a blouse that wasn’t properly charged to my client’s credit card.”
The alleged theft occurred at the Building Character shopping center, where a witness told TMZ that she took a $28 blouse into a dressing room before leaving without paying, despite having paid with a credit card for other items.
When the cops arrived, the witness claimed Cherry admitted to taking the blouse and returning it to the officer, but the performer’s rep denied this to TMZ, saying: “She never ‘admitted’ to taking the blouse, because that was not the case. This story appears to be more about a local store profiting from the use of a celebrity’s name than anything else.”
Cherry is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 22
