Cardi B is a globally recognized female rapper with a large fan following and influence outside of music. Aside from music, the Grammy winner has earned a lot of money through endorsements and other commercial ventures.
This explains why the rapper’s net worth is estimated to exceed $80 million. During a recent interview with Complex’s Speedy Morman, the 31-year-old discussed speculations and hinted that she is worth more than the estimated amount.
“I feel like I actually passed almost doing $80 million,” the Bronx native revealed, per Billboard. “I make a lot of money. I make a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of money.”
Despite making “a lot of money”, the rapper claimed she has tons of financial responsibilities. “But also, I got a lot, a lot of bills,” she stated. “I’m taking care of [family]. I’m helping a lot. I’m not going to say I take care, I’m helping a lot, and I help a lot of my friends and I help a lot of my family and everything.”
The rapper also admitted she finds it difficult not to help her family financially when she’s splurging cash on expensive things. “I gotta say no and I’m buying Birkins,” she said.
“I don’t like it when I feel like they playing with me … I remember when I was broke, I was never outside. I just seen you buy some designers. Even when I was a stripper and I had some times that I struggled, I was not buying that s–t.”
Cardi B hasn’t released a second album since her full-length debut, Invasion of Privacy, in 2017. Though the 31-year-old has released several songs along the way, her admirers have been eagerly anticipating the release of her sophomore album. They may not have to wait much longer, since she has announced plans to release an album this year. She has already released two singles this year: Like What (Freestyle) and Enough (Miami).
“I took a little break, I came back on social media. I dropped a little freestyle and everything, y’know, just to wet my feet. A week later, I’m dropping this single, and the next announcement is not going to be a single, it’s gonna be an album,” the Bodak Yellow rapper told Billboard Canada in a previous interview.
“I’m back outside, I’m tired of s–t holding me back. It’s been six years since l’ve dropped an album, so I’m gonna drop an album this year.”
