Ben Francis, 30, of Gymshark, who dropped out to make gym leggings, has been named the UK’s youngest billionaire.
Gymshark’s owner, who started the company in his parents’ garage while working as a pizza delivery driver, is now a billionaire at the age of 30.
Birmingham-born Ben Francis founded his sportswear company in 2012 after deciding to make his own gym clothes because he couldn’t find anything he liked on the high street; now, only 11 years later, he has made his debut on the Forbes billionaires list.
While it has not been easy for the father-of-two, who publicly apologized after a video of him snorting cocaine surfaced in 2020, Francis is now worth $1.2 billion (£992 million), making him the UK’s youngest billionaire.
The former Aston University student, who founded his company with friend Lewis Morgan before stepping down in 2014, recently revealed his daily habits and morning routines.
He told the Insider that he gets up at 6 a.m. every day and prepares eggs or bacon for breakfast before heading into the office, where he works five days a week.
Francis, who is frequently the first one in, then answers emails, goes over the week’s objectives, and has lunch around 12.30pm.
He also schedules a workout at the gym for later in the evening at 6.30 p.m.
He claims that having consistent checkpoints throughout the day keeps him grounded and productive.
The entrepreneur’s social media accounts alone show that the self-made billionaire lives a life of luxury, spending money on expensive motorcycles and taking glamorous vacations abroad with his fitness model and influencer wife.
Francis, who received the EY UK Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2020, will marry Canadian Robin Gallant in September 2021.
After publicly announcing Robin’s pregnancy three months prior, the couple welcomed twin sons on December 24, last year.
They first met when Francis asked her to promote his brand on her social media, and she has since moved from Canada to live with him in the United Kingdom.
The two have been photographed on lavish vacations in places like Dubai and Australia.
