Kodak Black, a rapper from Florida, has been arrested on suspicion of violating his bail conditions after failing a drug test earlier this month.
According to the Broward County Clerk of Courts, Kodak Black, real name Bill Kapri, violated the terms of his pretrial release on Feb. 3 by failing to submit a sample to a random drug test.
The Kappri medication then tested positive for fentanyl on February 8, according to prosecution records.
In July 2022, the 25-year-old was arrested in South Florida for oxycodone trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.
According to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol, authorities stopped Kapri because he was driving a purple SUV with window tints that were darker than the legal limit.
Troopers then smelled marijuana and searched the SUV, discovering a small clear bag with 31 white tablets and over $75,000 in cash.
The tablets were eventually determined to be oxycodone.
According to the department, record checks indicated that Black’s vehicle tag and driver’s license were both expired.
