WANE 15 is once again collaborating with the University of Saint Francis for the Pay It Forward scholarship.
One student will receive a full tuition and fees scholarship to USF, while two other students will receive half-tuition scholarships. The application window is now open. High school seniors applying for the award are required to write an essay about how they go above and beyond to serve others and “Pay It Forward” in their own communities.
The deadline to apply is November 1. And you’re encouraged to apply sooner, rather than later. You can click here to read the eligibility requirements and apply.
“I mean being here has really shaped who I am. It’s transformed me as a student, as a person especially. The people here, I mean, you truly are a person. You’re not just a name on a sheet, you’re not a number in a class. All of your professors want to know you. They want to know your name. They want to know everything about you. They want to help you in every way. I really don’t think, especially talking to my friends that go to bigger schools I would have gotten the same experience. They even talk about how jealous they are about some of the things we have that they don’t have. And it’s just cool to see how different it is but how much more special it is to be here,” said Audrie Bowman, the Pay It Forward Scholarship winner in 2022.
