4 Businesses Owned by Cardi B You Probably Didn’t Know About

Cardi B was born Belcalis Almanzar in the Bronx, New York, and is 30 years old. Cardi B is an abbreviation for Bacardi, the corporation that manufactures rum. She began her career as a stripper on social media before moving on to acting and music.

She joined the cast of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: New York for the sixth season in 2015, staying for two seasons before leaving to pursue her music career. We would learn about her then-fiancé, who was incarcerated, and her entire demeanor during her presence on the reality show. “A girl have beef with me, she gonna have beef with me…forevaa,” she says passionately in one episode.

She’s now a full-fledged rapper after a successful debut album named “Invasion of Privacy” and a thriving family; she got engaged in October 2017 and had a child.

Cardi B has been chastised for her “ghetto and ratchet” persona, but the Dominican and Trinidadian beauty insists she’s simply being herself. And one aspect of the artist that receives little media notice is her business moves. Here are a few examples:

1. Bardi Beauty

Cardi B, like some of her peers in the music industry, has remade herself as a businesswoman with multiple ventures. In 2021, she entered the multibillion-dollar beauty market by applying a trademark for ‘Bardi Beauty,’ with court filings showing that she intends to offer a wide range of items, including nail enamel and nail polish (of course), fragrances, skincare, and hair care.

Despite her company Washpoppin Inc. registering to trademark ‘Bardi Beauty’ in 2021, Cardi B indicated in March this year that she has no imminent intentions to launch a beauty company in the near future, according to the Daily Mail.

2. Whipshots

In collaboration with Starco Brands, the rapper will also create her own alcohol-infused whipped cream dubbed “Whipshots” in 2021. Cardi B said in a statement announcing the product’s birth that it reflects her style and distinctiveness.

“I’m so excited to join Starco Brands with this incredible opportunity. Whipshots match my style—over-the-top, sexy, unique. Together we’re completely innovating whipped cream and giving it an extra pop. Whipshots is Cardi in a can,” she said.

3. Partnership with PepsiCo

Pepsi is well-known for its celebrity-filled advertisements. The soft drinks behemoth hired the rapper and artist for multiple commercials in 2019. For the 2019 Super Bowl, she collaborated with Pepsi. And for a year, she served as the soft drinks company’s spokesman.

4. Real estate

Cardi B is also a real estate investor. According to Realtor.com, the rapper has been involved in four large real estate deals in recent years. She allegedly paid $5.85 million for a nine-bedroom, nine-bathroom property in Tenafly, New Jersey.

In addition, she and her rapper husband, Offset, purchased a home in the Atlanta region as a combined Christmas gift in 2019. According to Realtor.com, the couple spent about $5.8 million for the house.

In addition, her spouse Offset gifted her a $1.5 million, six-bedroom mansion in the Dominican Republic. The purchase followed initiatives to invest in short-term house rentals in the Dominican Republic and other Caribbean countries.

Cardi B reportedly paid $1.5 million for her mother’s New Jersey property in 2018. A home theater is included in the eight-bedroom layout.
