10 Businesses Owned By The Wealthy Elnefeidi Family of Sudan

The Elnefeidi family’s worldwide company, Elnefeidi Group, was created in 1934 by the family’s patriarch, Haj Bashir Elnefeidi, who began his entrepreneurship journey in 1934, selling soap in Khartoum, Sudan.

From humble beginnings, he successfully grew the company into a well-known multinational conglomerate with subsidiaries in logistics, trade, real estate, industrial development, banking, agriculture, aviation, food processing, and other industries, with operations in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

1. Bashir Motors

Bashir Motors was founded in 2005 as Nissan Motors Ltd.’s sole and exclusive agent in Sudan. It is the sole distributor of Scania products and services in the North-East African country, offering the Sudanese market transportation solutions such as heavy trucks, buses, and generator sets, as well as high-quality genuine spare parts and after-sales services that strictly adhere to Scania’s unrivaled standards.

2. Elnefeidi Tires Retreading And Rehabilitation Factory

On August 6, 1994, the Elnefeidi Group launched the NTRRF tire retreading center in Khartoum North. NTRRF retreads worn tires and puts them back into operation, allowing them to travel the same number of kilometers as the original tires. Used tires are retreaded for around 40% of the cost of a new tire, saving clients 60% of the value of a new tire.

3. 7 Rent A Car

7 Rent a Car, a subsidiary of Elnefeidi Group, was founded in May 2006 to supply high-quality vehicles on long and short-term lease contracts, with a fleet of over 250 vehicles of various brands and types.

4. FlyDubai

FlyDubai is a low-cost airline owned by the government of Dubai. The Elnefeidi Group administers and manages its businesses in Sudan.

5. AFISA Food

The Elnefeidi Group entered the food industry through AFISA Food, a subsidiary of Trans Afrique General Trading FZCO. AFISA Food is a food-processing firm that was created in 2015 with the primary goal of producing wheat flour.

6. Logistics Division

In 1973, the Elnefeidi Group began commercial ground transportation. Raiba Land Transport was created as the Group’s flagship company in August 2022. The combined efforts of the Logistics Division’s four firms – Raiba Trans (Sudan), Delta Logistics (Sudan), Trans Afrique (Cameroon), and Shift Logistics (UAE) – establish Elnefeidi Group as the region’s top logistics provider.

7. Elnourus Real Estate Investment Co.

Elnourse Real Estate Investment CO. Ltd., founded in 2000, implements complete housing projects and capitalizes on current prospects in Sudan’s real estate market. Elnefeidi Group holds a large amount of real estate, including land, buildings, villas, offices, stores, and warehouses in prime locations.

8. Inmaa Poultry and Feed Production Company

Inmaa Poultry and Feed Production Company was founded in 2005 by Elnefeidi Group and Egypt’s Al Wadi Holding Group. The partnership’s ventures include Inmaa Poultry & Feed, Inmaa Agriculture, Inmaa Trading, and Inmaa Engineering.

9. Khartoum Land Terminal

The Sudan Ministry of Public Works, the National Social Insurance Fund, and the Elnefeidi Group joined forces in 2003 to deliver cost-effective, safe, on-time, dependable, convenient, and clean transportation services. As a result, Khartoum Land Terminal was established and officially opened on October 24, 2004.

10. Sahil Electronic Services Co.

Sahil Electronic Services Co. is a Sudanese limited liability corporation. It was founded in 2009 as a joint venture between Tawasul Electronic Network Solutions – Oman, a leading expert in the IT sector, and RAIBA Land Trans Ltd, a subsidiary of Elnefeidi Group, with the goal of becoming Sudan’s and Africa’s leading electronic payment distribution and collection solutions company.
