Zimbabwe: ‘Mukoko’ Video Takes Showbiz By Storm

The much-anticipated music video of the song “Mukoko” by the combination of the moment, Tytan and Ammara Brown, was released on Monday and fans have expressed their satisfaction. Announcing the release of the video Tytan, whose real name is Njabulo Nkomo, said it was an honour for the duo to receive overwhelming support, which prompted them to go a step further to produce a remarkable video.”Yes our fans were happy with what we delivered because they have been rallying behind us from day one and we felt we owed them a perfect video to go with the special song,” Tytan said.

Ammara also said that she was grateful of the release and the support she has been getting from the fans as an individual artiste after she was recently involved in a car accident.

“I am grateful for the support that I’m getting from the Ammartians(her fans) who have lifted my spirit and helping me recover from minor injuries I sustained,” Ammara said.

“Mukoko” video features local television personalities Arnold Gara and Tinopona Katsande

“Mukoko” became an instant hit since its release in January dominating local radio stations.

Its video was filmed in Mbare and has urban culture influence and was choreographed by popular celebrity dance personality John Cole who also expressed confidence in the future of the song as well as the artists themselves.

“The artists are just fabulous and I see them going miles in their music journey because they have started on a big note,” Cole said.

The video quality is also commendable and is a revelation on efforts being done by production houses to improve the local music industry.
