The Secretary to Zambia’s President Edgar Lungu has confirmed that the President is well and continues to discharge his duties as Head of State, Government and Commander-in-chief of the defence force.

This is after President Lungu on Sunday afternoon experienced sudden dizziness whilst officiating at the 45th Defence Force Day commemoration and investiture ceremony.

According to the statement by the Principal Private Secretary to the President, Simon Miti, “the President recovered immediately and walked to the official car and returned to his residence at State House.”

The President paid tribute to the men and women in uniform – Zambia Army, Zambia Air Force and Zambia National Service – who have proudly served the nation and beyond.
