World’s Tallest Drum Unveiled at Nigerian Drums Festival

Nigeria’s first Drum Festival was held in Ogun State where drums believed to be the tallest in the world were unveiled.

The 16 and 17 feet tall drums were unveiled by Ogun State Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

According to the state Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Chief Muyiwa Oladipo, the drum, which was built by an indigene of the state, was built around Yoruba history and religion.


About 50 countries were invited out of which 10 African countries showed interest in the programme.
