‘We’re Being Hunted’: Philando Castile’s Mom Accuses Cops Of ‘Silent War Against African-Americans’!

The mother of a Minnesota man who was shot and killed by police Wednesday night accused law enforcement of conducting a “silent war against African-American people.”

The morning after Falcon Heights police shot Philando Castile during what was described as a “routine” traffic stop, Valerie Castile told CNN’s Alisyn Camerota that her son was killed because there are “no checks and balances in the justice system.”

“A lot of our African-American men, women and children are being executed by the police,” she remarked. “And there are no consequences.”

“I feel like it’s becoming more and more repetitive,” Valerie Castile continued. “Every day you hear of another black person being shot down, gunned down by the people that’s supposed to protect us. My son was a law abiding citizen and he did nothing wrong.”

The mother noted that she had not been permitted to identify her son’s body, and that a Facebook live stream of the aftermath by Philando Castile’s girlfriend was the only reason the family had details about the shooting.

“You see them saying that there’s no profiling, but there is,” she insisted. “We’re being hunted every day. It’s a silent war against African-American people as a whole.”

“I believe because everyone is getting acquitted it’s like open season,” Valerie Castile concluded. “If you don’t hold people accountable for what they do then they feel like they can just do anything.”
