Pepsi has come under fire after a new ad showing reality TV Star and Model Kendall Jenner handing a can of the drink to a police officer.
In the ad, Jenner is having a photo shoot but becomes distracted by a group of young protesters. She decides to join them, and toward the end, comes face-to-face with a stoic police officer. She offers him a Pepsi and he accepts the drink before cracking a smile.
The imagery – whether intentional or not – evokes the real-life moment protester Ieshia Evans faced down lines of heavily armed police wearing riot gear during a Black Lives Matter demonstration in Baton Rouge following the shooting death of Alton Sterling by white police.

Is this Pepsi ad so much worse than "I'd like to give the world a coke?" Cola of any sort won't bring world peace. https://t.co/XKyBZwFWVy
