Watch the Trailer for Trayvon Martin Documentary Series Produced by JAY-Z

It had been announced back in 2017 that rapper JAY-Z was set to produce a documentary series about the life of Trayvon Martin.

The African-American high school student was shot in 2012 by George Zimmerman, a 28-year old Hispanic man who was a member of the neighborhood watch in his Florida community.

The JAY-Z-produced documentary series “Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story” also covers the protests sparked by Zimmerman’s acquittal, and the development of the Black Lives Matter movement.

“Rest in Power” will begin airing on July 30 on BET.
