Black protesters gathered outside the home of US Army sergeant, Jonathan Pentland, after he was seen in a viral video attacking a black man for taking a walk in his neighbourhood in Columbia, South Carolina.
In the video, Jonathan Pentland is seen telling young Deandre, “you’re in the wrong neighbourhood, motherf**ker”.
The young man told him it’s his neighbourhood too but Jonathan continued telling him to leave and even laid hands on him at one point.
Jonathan was reported to his bosses after the video went viral and he’s been charged with assault.
Subsequently, the black community in the area stormed Jonathan’s home and gathered at the lawn, yelling that they are on his property, while daring him to come outside.
