Watch as President Mugabe Bows to own Portrait at Zimbabwe Independence Day Celebrations

During Independence Day celebrations in Harare on Monday, Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe was filmed bowing to a picture of himself while inspectting the guard.

The video clip revealed the 92-year-old president is seen driving around the National Stadium in Harare in an open top van before what appears to be the moment he bows to his iconic portrait.

Thousands of Zimbabweans gathered at the National Stadium in the capital for the country’s main Independence Day celebrations, 36 years after the Zimbabwe flag was raised.
