Cristiano Ronaldo will have mixed emotions following his reunion with Sporting Lisbon at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night.
Real Madrid eventually secured all three points through two late goals but only after going 1-0 down to their Portuguese opponents in the 48th minute.
Bruno Cesar was the goalscorer but with 10 minutes remaining, Ronaldo was gifted the perfect opportunity to level the scores against his former side.
From a cross that found him at the back post, the Portuguese superstar rattled the post three yards out, with Alvaro Morata then having a goal disallowed.
At that moment, it seemed Real were heading towards a shock defeat.
But up stepped Ronaldo to spark a comeback with a wonderful free-kick in the 88th minute, which you can watch below.
His strike from 25-yards out found the top right-corner, although ‘keeper Rui Patricio got a hand to it.
