VIDEO: Ghanaians Are Now Building Roads Out of Plastic Bags – WEF Report

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has thrown a focus on the activity of building roads with plastic sacks in Ghana. As found in the video and clarified by the WEF, the bags are destroyed and blended with sand making another type of black-top that is versatile, enduring and utilizes fewer natural resources to make.

They further added that any type of plastic rubbish can be used to create the blocks. Ghana’s Ministry of Environment is apparently using the blocks in one district and wants to help the company, known as Nelplast and founded by Nelson Boateng expand its business.
