Civil rights organisation, Afriforum is today approaching the High Court in Pretoria to review the diplomatic immunity granted to Zimbabwe’s first lady Grace Mugabe.
An International Relations expert speaking on the SABC channel on First Lady Grace Mugabe’s immunity matter, analyses the legal possibilities of a win.
Grace allegedly attacked South African model Gabriella Engels with an electric cord in a hotel in Sandton in the north Johannesburg in August.
Engels filed a criminal charge against her but South Africa’s International Relations Department granted her immunity.
Afriforum’s lawyer Willie Spies says they will ask the court to overturn this.
The Zimbabwean High Commission in Pretoria has applied to intervene in the matter.
