A 22-year-old Nigerian has become one of the UK’s youngest counselors. Ramota Lawal announced that she had been elected as Heaton Ward Councilor Harold Hill.
Lawal who ran for the British Labor Party won the election with 1050 votes. She shared the good news on her Twitter account.
For Lawal, it is a privilege to have won his first political election. She joined the list of young politicians from the UK. She also said it’s an honor to be one of the youngest members of the Labor Party.

Ramota Lawal is the second 22-year-old Nigerian woman councilor elected to the United Kingdom. Elizabeth Bright, was recently elected councilor of Eastbrook Ward in Dagenham.
