David Dao’s lawyer, Thomas Demetrio called him the “Asian version of Rosa Parks.” We wouldn’t be so sure.
We sincerely sympathise with Dr. David Dao. There is no way to justify the treatment he was subjected to, but still… Being brave enough to stand against the injustice once doesn’t turn you into a Civil rights activist.
Being pushed to the back of the plane Dr. Dao wasn’t protesting anything. He didn’t spend all his life fighting for Asian people writes on planes.
Though his story shows that discrimination against minorities exists everywhere.
United Airlines must apologise to Dr. Dao and the rest of white people should stop using him as a tool of historical appropriation.
