U.S TV Personality Talks Near-Death Experience After Consecutive Plastic-Surgery

In late 2009 Heidi Montag opted to undergo 10 cosmetic procedures in one day, a decision that almost cost her her life.

The reality TV star recently recalled how her decision to have multiple surgeries, including a second nose job, a second boob job, a chin reduction, a brow lift and ear pinnings, in one go nearly caused her death.

Speaking to Paper magazine, the 31-year-old said her heart stopped for a minute while she was recovering from her procedures.

The Hills star, who welcomed her first child, Gunner Stone, with husband Spencer Pratt (34) in October 2017, talked candidly about the harrowing ordeal, saying, “Spencer thought he lost me. I died for a minute.

“With that much surgery I had to have 24-hour care and Spencer didn’t want to leave my side.

“I was at a recovery centre and had Demerol [pain medication] to deal with the pain because it was so extreme.

“My security guards called Spencer and told him, ‘Heidi’s heart stopped. She’s not going to make it.’ And I easily could have,” she said.

Despite being terrified at the time, Heidi says the experience was a learning curve.

“A lot of positive things came out of that.

“I had to look at myself in the mirror every day healing and be like, ‘What did I do to myself? How did I get here? What’s going on?’ I basically had to hit that rock-bottom moment in my life to realise what was important to me.”

Heidi, who’s since had her breast implants removed, says she’s now more settled in her life with Spencer and focused on their son.
