Turkey Calls For The Immediate Withdrawal Of American Troops In Syria Otherwise…

The head of the Turkish diplomacy on Saturday called on the United States to withdraw “immediately” their military deployed in Manbij, a city in northern Syria controlled by a Kurdish militia against which Ankara launched an offensive.

“They (the United States) must immediately withdraw from Manbij,” Mevlüt Çavusoglu told reporters in Antalya.

The city of Manbij is located about 100 kilometers east of the Afrin region, where the Turkish army has been conducting an offensive against the Kurdish militia of state-backed People’s Protection Units (YPG) for one week. -United.

“The United States must break completely with the terrorist groups YPG and PKK, recover the weapons they have given them … Beyond the words, we now want to see concrete actions,” commented Mr. Cavusoglu.

The small group of the Free Syrian Army (ASL) is also taking part in the olive branch blast, led by the Turkish army in the Afrin region.

Ankara had previously warned against a confrontation between Turkish and US troops in northern Syria, demanding that Washington stop logistical assistance to the Kurdish militia deployed near the Turkish border.
