Washington – The US President, Donald Trump has officially sent his birthday wish to the Zimbabwean President, Robert Gabriel Mugabe on his new milestone celebration of 93 years of life. However the Zimbabwean leader was not impressed with the last part of the letter, according to Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to United States, Mr Ammon Machingambi Mutembwa.
”We appreciate what Mr Trump did as a responsible President but what he wrote in the last paragraph was really unnecessary,that was harsh and tasteless. I consider that as a total disrespect of the Head Of State,even the President himself was not happy with that”, fumed the ambassador.
Mr Ammon Machingambi Mutembwa has submitted the controversial email to a number of Zimbabwean media houses and it reads as below ;
”Happy birthday President Robert Mugabe,as United States Of America President and cabinet,we take this opportunity to acknowledge and honour a great leader as well as a Pan-Africanist whose devotion to the cause of your Nation and Africa is legendary. The Ministry on which you have reposed so much responsibility and trust, values the great contribution that you have made towards economically empowering previously disadvantaged Zimbabweans through the Youth Development and Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Programme.
We continue to value your support in ongoing efforts to democratise ownership of the productive assets of our country and promoting the development of a competitive domestic private sector and a conscious youth sector that will spearhead economic growth and development for the benefit of all.
But on the other hand,we have heard enough reports of misuse of resources,human rights abuse and corruption. At large and I would like to use this opportunity to let you know that you’re more likely not to go scot-free on this one,we will make sure that you pay for the damage that you have done to the innocent Zimbabweans. My government has already drafted measures that will be of major importance to make Africa great again once put into place. Particularly targeting you and the Ugandan President Museveni,I will make Africa great again,having said that,Happy birthday to you Mr President !”, reads the email.
