Trending Video: Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni’s Speech Temporarily Cut Short By Snake

A speech by Ugandan President Yoweri yesterday in the district of Mukono after an uninvited guest made its way to the red carpet as he addressed residents of Kirangira.

According to the Nile Post, Museveni was getting to his speech when a snake slithered its way close to his feet as was making an address.

Spotting the serpent, Ugandan Special Forces Command (SFC) soldiers put away chairs and started trampling the snake, a commotion that attracted the head of state’s attention.

Ni nini? What is it?” Said Museveni as he looked around before pausing for a few seconds as the boots crushed the life out of the snake in the dimly lit tent that was also housing Lands Minister Esther Namuganza.

As quick as it started, it was soon over and he went on with the speech without further interruptions.

He ordered a stop on planned evictions on Kirangira land, an emotive subject in the area, until substantive studies are undertaken.
