It’s been a while since many people have seen Living Single star T.C. Carson back in the acting world. He is best known for his role as Kyle Barker in the Fox sitcom and as a voice double for Samuel L. Jackson in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. His gigs since then, however, suggest his Hollywood star has fallen. He was spotted as a caroler in a Marshalls/T.J. Maxx commercial and has also been voicing video game characters like Kratos in the hit video game series God of War.
Some remember her best as Adelaide “Addy” Wilson from Gimme a Break in the ’80s, but most people will likely recall her as Aunt Rachel from Family Matters. For years, she didn’t seem to land any significant roles until she joined the FX sitcom Partners as Ruth Jackson.
William Allen Young
Famous TV dads usually become a staple in pop culture, but Young’s character in Moesha didn’t quite reach that point. While he has starred in many shows and movies since his Moesha days, they never seemed to match up in popularity to his role in Moesha.
It seemed like the A Different World star would be destined for a lengthy career in Hollywood after being a part of the hit show, but things didn’t seem to work out that way. Her on-screen appearances became scarce although she continued acting through voice-over work in animations. She has been spotted in numerous other shows and movies, but none of them even garnered the type of audience that reminded everyone that Guy was still an active part of Hollywood.
There are a lot of hip-hop stars who rise to fame only to become an old trend a few years later, but Ja Rule’s case is a particularly drastic fall from grace. Many people have already forgotten that the rapper was one of the greatest stars of his time with more than half of his studio albums going platinum — two of the albums were certified 3x platinum. Now, people barely give a second glance when he announces performances and instead wonder what in the world he could possible perform after roughly eight years without producing any new music.
Drake is best known for her role as Ms. Myra on Martin, and she also appeared as the landlord in Friday After Next. However, she has stepped out of the spotlight since then to focus on voice-acting work for popular animations like The Boondocks.
He started out as a stand-up comedian before getting a national platform with the comedy skits featured on In Living Color. His more recent roles include Cream Corn in Black Dynamite, but he has still been working in the stand-up comedy world and has appeared on several DVDs highlighting comedic talent.
Blount secured a famous duet with Lauryn Hill on “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” as a part of her role on Sister Act 2, but not much has come of her music and acting career since then. She is now married to Michael Trotter Jr. and formed a band with her husband called The War and Treaty.
Back in 1991, Fischer became the beloved songstress behind the Grammy Award-winning single “How Can I Ease the Pain.” Her vocals were beyond impressive, and there didn’t seem to be a single note that rested outside of her range. Despite her musical prowess, her fame didn’t stand the test of time, and she joined the rock band Nine Inch Nails as a backing vocalist for their 2013 Tension tour.
Walter Emanuel Jones
Let’s be honest here. Nobody is completely sure what happened to any of the young stars from the Power Ranger franchise, but Jones has been doing his best to remain active in the entertainment world. The former Mighty Morphin Power Rangers star has been spotted in several commercials for PetSmart and Bank of America. He also had a short appearance as a salsa instructor on Age of Love in 2014.
