North Korea shows once again that it refuses to be intimidated. She made a missile launch this morning from her port of Sinpo on the east coast, facing the sea of Japan. The craft exploded almost immediately after its launch, according to the South Korean and American armies. The type of this missile has not yet been determined.
Even a failed one is another step forward in advancing the North Korean nuclear and ballistic program. The arrival of an American aircraft carrier, and the evocation by the United States of the possibility of pre-emptive strikes obviously did not dissuade Pyongyang.
