Golfer Tiger Woods has now been transferred to a second Los Angeles-area hospital in order to get “continuing orthopedic care and recovery.”

Woods has been recuperating at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center following the Tuesday morning single-car accident in California that resulted in significant leg injuries.

The Medical Center’s chief medical officer and interim CEO Dr. Anish Mahajan, confirmed that Woods was moved to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, which is approximately 20 miles away.
“On behalf of our staff, it was an honor to provide orthopedic trauma care to one of our generation’s greatest athletes,” Mahajan said in the statement.
The reasons for his transfer are yet to be released, but Cedars-Sinai facilities are renown for their sports medicine and related surgeries.
