Three Months After His Appointment as Head Coach, Thierry Henry Suspended at Monaco

After a successful career that saw him win several international and club titles, his debut as a coach was catastrophic. He was suspended Thursday from his duties as coach of Monaco.

Appointed last October, the former French international failed to change things in the club in trouble. He has played a total of twenty games in all competitions and has four wins, five draws and eleven losses. AS Monaco occupies 19th place in Ligue 1 with only fifteen points and risks relegation.

In a statement released, the club announced its decision to suspend Thierry Henry. “AS Monaco announces that it has decided to suspend its duties as head coach of the Thierry Henry team starting today, pending a final decision”.
