This is What Cristiano Ronaldo Has to Say About ‘Neymar at Real Madrid’: “The best are already here”

While several Spanish media announce the arrival of the Brazilian international Neymar on the side of Real Madrid during this summer transfer window, the Portuguese star of Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo, spoke last Tuesday on this subject during a interview given to El Chiringuito de Jugones.

“A Cristiano Ronaldo-Neymar duo? Here, we always talk about players, transfers … I have been here for eight years and we always talk about 50 players who could come and, in the end, nobody ever comes. We always say that in September, there will be many new players and, finally, there is always the same here, “replied the five-fold Golden Ball.

The captain of Portugal’s national team sent a clear message. “The best are already at Real Madrid: Basel, Benzema, Asensio … They are all here,” he said. A statement that shows that the Portuguese would not be favorable to the arrival of the Brazilian. Unlike his teammates Sergio Ramos, Casemiro  or  Marcelo who have all opened the door to Neymar, Ronaldo does not seem the same opinion.

“The future is Saturday’s match. You have to play, win and get into the story. It is the most important. The future is the present and the present, it is now. (…) I have already said, I will retire at 41 years old. My body is only 23 years old biologically, “ he concluded.

For his part, Sergio Ramos, who was also a press conference, did not fail to praise Cristiano Ronaldo for his performances:

“He is perhaps the most important player that has gone through Real Madrid in all of history and I believe it requires different treatment. Maybe in previous years, he was looking for something else but this year he gave more importance to the collective level and he even put it at the same level as his personal case. I believe that, even from an individual point of view, he scored the results of the team and we are very proud of what he has done, “ said  Sergio Ramos.

And if CR7 thinks that Real can do without the Brazilian is that he is in shape and clearly feels able to remain the headliner of the attack Madrid, once again, next season, and what even though he refused to project himself too much. “The future is Saturday’s match. You have to play, win and get into the story. It is the most important. The future is the present and the present, it is now. (…) I have already said, I will retire at 41 years old. My body is only 23 years old biologically, “ he concluded. The messages are passed.
