“The Trees Are My Children And Nature My God.. ‘Meet The Forest Guy That Has A 1400 Acre House

I am not decisive or partial for anyone, but here’s the story of a man who showed the world what a true environmentalist does. Ladies and gentlemen, proudly presenting Jadav Molai Payeng or ‘The Forest Man of India’.

Payeng is a proud owner of a 1400 acre house. Don’t believe me? Let me tell you how.

During his teenage days, Jadav witnessed a devastating flood in his village from the Brahmaputra river in Assam. The flood did cost lives of many domestic and as well as wild animals. After the flood, he saw several snakes and other animals lying on the ground, dead. The situation devastated him and pushed him to find out the reason for this disaster. After finding out the needs of mother earth and measures that would help in protecting the environment, this man devoted his heart, soul, and life for the welfare of nature. Let’s see how it all happened

Jadav, at the age of 16 started to plant trees in an empty sandbar

After seeing the devastating flood in his teenage that washed a major part of the land in his village, Jadav decided that he will make a change in the world and protect the wildlife and nature around him. He understood that for wildlife to survive, trees are needed else there would be nothing to hold the land from soil erosion, floods and earthquakes.

‘I have a 1400 acre home’

Since that day till now, Jadav has devoted his life to the welfare of the forest. He thought that what if humans also one day get washed away just like those reptiles got.

Payeng says that people have concrete homes that are small, but he has a 1400 acre home made from nature. The 1400 acre forest in Assam got its name from its creator, Jadav “Molai” Payeng. It has a huge bamboo tree spread all over, with many species of flora and fauna too. The forest family of Payeng consists many beautiful wildlife animals such as five Bengal tigers, species of deer and rhinos, hundreds of elephants and more.

He says that people who live in their AC rooms are unmindful about the pollution they create

Jadav calls each and every plant of his forest as his child. For him, nature is the one true god and trees are the real nature. According to his thoughts, trees live for us, and we live for them as we share the air and exchange gases for survival.

‘People fight among themselves and die, here, you don’t have anyone to fight!’

His lifestyle consists of working for the forest, making his food, breathe the pure oxygen and at last sleep in peace. Peaceful in all means. This village man has all knowledge of the science of nature and understands that the cutting down of trees are the main reason for climate change.

‘Children nowadays only know how to cut forest and become industriliasts’

Payeng thinks it’s necessary to teach children the importance of trees and forests right from their elementary school, as they remember what they are taught at the early age.

In Payeng’s view, one can earn oxygen if…
