Jyoti and Kiran Matharoo were captured by the Nigerian Police in 2016, and they conceded on camera to being the proprietors of the now ancient harming site, NaijaGistLive. They apologized to victims they had harmed or endeavored to blackmail cash from, saying the stories composed on the site were sent in by companions or partners of individuals expounded on.
After they were discharged and left Nigeria, the sisters denied they had turns in the site and said they made the admission under pressure and claimed danger from the Nigerian police.
They’ve since gone on to live flashy lives, even travelling out to the US for parties. Kiran has now reportedly been arrested.
One of the wanted sisters was arrested on an international arrest warrant at an airport in Italy on Wednesday, Italian newspaper reports.
Kiran Matharoo was nabbed as she disembarked a flight at Venice’s Marco Polo Airport. It’s believed the bust was related to alleged case against Kiran and her sister Jyoti in Lagos.
Last December the Canadian duo were arrested on allegations of blackmailing wealthy and libeling them through their website, Naijagistlive. At one point it was estimated they had allegedly swindled 274 men.
One of the alleged victims was oil billionaire Femi Otedola. The sister have denied everything. They blame
the Real Housewives of Lagos for their trials and tribulations. They were later granted bail which they jumped and fled Nigeria, making them to be declared wanted
