The Future Wife of South Africa’s Ex-President Jacob Zuma in the Heart of a Scandal

The future wife of Jacob Zuma, a 24-year-old South African, was forced to resign from She Conquers, an NGO that promotes women.

The Organization believes that the relationship between its employee, Nonkanyiso Cono, communications officer, and Jacob Zuma is contrary to the principles of the NGO.

“The relationship between Nonkanyiso Conco and his 52-year-old Mr. Zuma runs counter to the organization’s campaign for the economic empowerment of young women,” said Leonora Mathe, vice president of the organization, by Daily Maverick.

“As young women, we are attracted and used by people who abuse their power to take advantage of us.”

“As part of our campaign, we promote the empowerment of young women to eliminate the concept of dependence on benefactors, older men who barter gifts and money for sex.”

“We have to make sure we set an example in our leadership,” she added.

Nonkanyiso Conco, 24, gave birth to the 23 th child of Zuma last week in a private hospital in the coastal city of Durban.

Zuma, 76, currently has four wives, following her divorce from Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma in 1996 and the death of her third wife, Kate Mantsho, who committed suicide in 2000.
