Blaauwklippen Family Market
A market that likes to focus on family time, the Blaauwklippen market is held on one of the oldest wine farms in the Somerset to Stellenbosch region. Established in 2011 the picturesque picnic spot is tastefully settled amongst the vineyards of Stellenbosch with stalls that overflow with new and exciting produce. So, let the children run between the wild fig trees with an artisan ice cream from Cold Gold while you relax on the lawn and sample some of the Blaauwklippen wine or maybe a samosa from Mistress of Spices & Indian Food.

Blue Bird Garage Market
As original as they come, Bluebird Garage Market is held in Muizenberg’s trendy old postal plane hangar. One for those who enjoy something a bit more off the beaten track, this market offers a variety of completely unique products such as craft beers and hand picked wines. The whole affair is accompanied by live music from local artists, giving the market a bubbly, festival vibe. If the sounds of song and the sight of bargains weren’t enough to tempt you in, the mouth-watering smells drifting from the food stalls will definitely have you diving right in. In addition to its wonderful stalls, atmosphere and music, the market also offers a creative corner for children, where they can get their faces painted and play.

The Design Market
An artist’s market through and through, the Design Market is very recent development in the art markets of Cape Town. Showcasing a select group of artists from around the Cape whose work contains some of the most stunning and unique objects of art to be found. Part of the magic of this market is that the artists partially demonstrate their processes by doing some truly fascinating ‘live art’; throughout the day various artists create one of their wonderful products in front of the buyers. Launched in July, the market takes place in the Railway House in Kalk Bay, with a beautiful seaside backdrop.
