According to figures from the International Tourism Organization, many travelers have traveled the world this year to meet other cultures, languages, landscapes.
Just recently, the travel magazine Geo has established its ranking of the 10 most beautiful countries on the planet. The magazine has relied on criteria such as the beauty and richness of fauna and flora, the living environment, the urban and natural landscapes, or the historical wealth of the place.
By this ranking, the magazine calls tourists to visit the 10 most beautiful countries in the world. The list includes two Latin American countries, Peru and Bolivia, three Asian countries, Indonesia, Japan and Cambodia.
There are two nations of Oceania represented by New Zealand and Australia. Norway, which has breathtaking Scandinavian landscapes, represents Europe. The United States with attractive places like the Hawaii Islands, the capital Washington is also present. The African continent has only one representative in the ranking of Geo magazine and it is Namibia.
Namibia is renowned for having one of the most spectacular reliefs in the world, including impressive deserts, the country is traversed by one of the largest deserts in Africa, the Kalahari. Namibia also has large wildlife reserves like the Etosha National Park where majestic animals can be seen. Large green spaces are also an asset for Namibia.
The African continent has enormous tourism potential that can delight tourists from all over the world. However, due to a lack of organization, structuring and the almost inexistent development of tourist wealth, many African countries are lagging behind in terms of tourism policy.
