Sierra Leone President Arrives In Doha; Visits Museum Of Islamic Art (Photo)

President of the Republic of Sierra Leone Ernest Bai Koroma arrived in Doha Sunday on an official visit to the country.

Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada welcomed the President and his accompanying delegation at Hamad International Airport on their official visit to Qatar.


President Ernest Bai Koroma and the accompanying delegation also visited the Museum of Islamic Art. The President acquainted with the collection of antiquities and Islamic artifacts, which includes rare treasures of heritage including books, manuscripts and coins made of silver, copper, and bronze, as well as crafts made of glass, ivory, textiles, wood and precious stones, and collectibles collected from three continents dating back fourteen centuries.

The President listened to an explanation of the MIA and its stages of development as well as its role in spreading science, culture and encouraging creativity in addition to communicating with the cultures and arts of the world. After the tour, the guest signed in the museum’s golden record.
