Police in the Dutch city of Utrecht have reported “multiple” injuries following a shooting on a tram in a residential neighborhood.
Three trauma helicopters were rushed to the scene and police have asked the public to keep the roads clear for emergency services. An anti-terrorism unit is already looking into the incident.
The shooting took place at about 10:45 local time (09:45 GMT).
“A man started shooting wildly,” one eyewitness told Dutch news site NU.nl.
Utrecht’s transport authority said tram services in the city have all been cancelled.
