Senegal’s President, Macky Sall Announces the Construction of a New Presidential Palace

Macky Sall will endow Senegal with a new presidential palace. This new infrastructure, whose construction is announced by President Sall will be located in Diamniadio.

The announcement was made this Monday, on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the Economic Forum of the Department of Rufisque. “It will soon be built, a presidential palace, which will be an annex of the Dakar Palace.”


A palace for the future president
The Head of State will build this palace for future generations. To the question of why, Macky Sall emphasizes that the current palace is a colonial legacy. “Do not forget it. Our palace, very beautiful, is a colonial heritage and we must still leave traces. I do not do it for myself, but for my successor.

With this in mind, Macky Sall announces the construction of a United Nations House. It will also be located in Diamniadio. “The United Nations House that I will be building soon will be able to accommodate up to 3,000 United Nations staff here at the Diamniadio urban cluster.”
