Samuel Eto’o Makes a Request to the President of CAF in Favour of Yaya Touré

After the departure of Yaya Touré from Manchester City, the former Ivorian captain first played at Olympiakos before exiling to China.

It must be said that the rich career of the former Ivorian international has marked several football personalities including Samuel Eto’o. The ex-pichichi, wanting to pay tribute to his former teammate of FC Barcelona, suggested to the CAF (Confederation of African Football) to find a way to celebrate the Ivorian environment.

“I will suggest to the President of CAF to find a way to celebrate Yaya Touré. He wrote one of the most beautiful stories in African football. I hope that he will make the right decision and that he will continue to please us. ” , He wished.

While Samuel Eto’o has retired for a few months, he wants to see Yaya Touré still happy and to give pleasure to his fans by playing for a few more seasons. The Cameroonian interviewed by Doucet on Canal + recognized that the Elephant deserves 2 to 3 titles of best player in the Premier League and at least one Golden Ball.

“Let him stop his career like that? It is not possible ! It makes everything it touches easy. It was not recognized at its fair value. He could have been for 2 or 3 years the best player in England or even win a European gold ball. But that was not the case and that did not change his immense talent. ” , he adds.
