Russian Ballistic Missile Systems Set on Alert in Siberia (video)

In Siberia, Russian intercontinental ballistic missile systems Topol and Yars took part in maneuvers in which more than 150 military equipment were engaged.

As part of the tactical exercises taking place in the Siberian regions of Novosibirsk, Altai and Irkutsk, Topol  and  Yars intercontinental ballistic missile facilities   have been put on alert, the press service announced on August 17. of the Russian Ministry of Defense.


Several missile units were deployed and camouflaged in the Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Irkutsk regions. The purpose of these exercises is to prepare to resist the attacks of diversion groups, using Typhoon-M combat vehicles with drones. In addition, Russian military is also training to protect missile systems from air strikes.

The simulated attack of a conventional adversary was repulsed by the men assigned to these missile systems. According to the ministry press release, more than 150 units of equipment are participating in these maneuvers.
